Ethel Lejeune Frey

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Ethel Lejeune Frey, 88, who passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 1 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 am on Tuesday. Deacon Jim Davis will officiate at the Funeral Service. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Frey was retired from WalMart for over 20 years. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking, gardening, and going to the casino. She is survived by two sons, Michael J. Frey and wife, Judy, and Steve Frey and wife, Mary, all of Breaux Bridge; three grandchildren, Philip Frey, Jude Frey, Sr. and Michelle Frey Pelous; four great grandchildren, Jude Frey, Jr., Mallorie Frey, Connor Pelous and Chaz Frey; and her brother, Russell Lejeune and wife, Thelma, of Eunice. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Anthony Frey; her parents, Arthur Lejeune, Sr. and Madeline Doucet Lejeune; an infant daughter, who died at birth; and four brothers, Herbert Lejeune, Gaflin "Cop" Lejeune, Arthur Lejeune, Jr. and Durlin Lejeune. Pallbearers will be Jude Frey, Sr., Jude Frey, Jr., Kelsey Pelous, Gerard Frey, Quillan Bertrand, and Philip Frey. The family would like to thank the staffs of St. Martin Hospital, St. Agnes Nursing and Rehab, especially nurses, Natalie, Rachel, and Angel, Drs. Warren and Ben Degatur, Wendy Fuselier, and Hospice of Acadiana, for the compassionate care and attention given to her during her time of need.
