Eula "Toot" Addison

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Friday, July 1, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church's Borel Center in Breaux Bridge, for Eula Toot Dupuis Addison, 82, who passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Eula was born in Arnaudville, Louisiana to the late Clement and Estelle Tauzin Dupuis. She was the oldest of six daughters who lived on the same property off the Bayou Teche, which was given to them by their parents. Toot was an excellent cook who was known for her homemade bread and fig pie. She was a fantastic seamstress and quilter who enjoyed to paint, read, and fish. Toot helped take care of her grandparents and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving children, Kenneth P. Addison, Sr. and wife Gale, Jeffery A. Addison and wife Cheryl, and Angelina A. Hardin and husband Jacob; grandchildren, Kenneth Addison, Jr. and wife Susan, Kristie Hebert and husband Greg, Keisha Johnson and husband Jeremy, Kasey Addison and fiance Shannon Bourque, Page Leigh Addison, Knowlby Addison, and Samuel Hardin and wife Melissa; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Florence Richard and husband Daniel, Sherline Dore, and Joline Dekerlegand and husband Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George Joseph Addison, Jr.; her parents; mother-in-law, Margaret Robert Addison; sisters, Grace Taylor and Ethel LeBlanc; and brothers-in-law, Henry Dore and Gervais Taylor, Jr. Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Sr. and Jeffery Addison, Kenneth Addison, Jr., Kasey Addison, Jacob Hardin, and Braque Addison. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Addison, Michael Richard, Wilfred Richard, and Neeley Dronet.
