Eunice Taylor

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM , Thursday, December 16, 2010 , at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Eunice Taylor, 93, who passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia , Mrs. Taylor owned and operated Taylor 's Wicklow Stop for over 40 years. In her early years she worked as a seamstress for The Hub and The Style Shop. Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne Taylor of New Iberia ; her son, Don Taylor and his wife, Mary of New Iberia; her brother, Lloyd Comeaux and his wife, Lillie of Erath; her grandson, Matthew Gulotta and his wife, Monica; her great grandchildren, Virginia Seymour, Gabrielle Louise Gulotta and Evelyn Rose Gulotta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Taylor; her parents, Entime and Lydia Chargois Comeaux; her brothers, Alcide J. 'Nook' Comeaux, Murphy Comeaux, Robert Comeaux and Lloyd Derouen; her sister, Alma Comeaux Dore. Pallbearers will be Don Taylor, Matthew Gulotta, Mike Comeaux, Charles 'Chuck' Reaux, Darryl Richardelle and James 'Jimmy' Dore. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Comeaux, Bill Comeaux, Junius J. Moore and Gary Comeaux. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Nessia Mitchell, Lateigra Arvie and Iberia Medical Center Medical Staff for the care and compassion that was given to their mother during her illness. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
