Eva Mae Veronie

A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 30, 2008, for Eva Mae Veronie, 62, who passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her residence. Ms. Veronie loved flowers, fishing and working in her yard. ?Rummy was one of her favorite past-times with a good cup of coffee. Survivors include 5 grandchildren, Brian Dejean, of Breaux Bridge, Raven Dejean, of St. Martinville, Alton Hayes, of Lafayette, Erica Hayes, of Lafayette, and Christina Clement, of Breaux Bridge; 4 great grandchildren, Caden Hayes, Madison, Braxton, and Samuel Hayes; her daughter-in-law, Melissa Dejean, of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, John Veronie, of Rayne, Lee Veronie, of Topeka, KS, and Willie Veronie, of Scott; and six sisters, Anna Hill, of Henerette, TX, Lurline Broussard, of Breaux Bridge, Gloria Morrell, of Houma, Adley Meche, of Baton Rouge, Mary LeBlanc, of Charenton, and JoAnn Veronie, of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Evelyn Veronie; her daughter, Vickie Angelle; her son, Herman Dejean; and a sister, Melba Jean Veronie. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
