Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Feliciane Johnson Boyer, 94, who passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass.
Survivors include her daughter, Verna B. Boyer and her husband, Alton, of Breaux Bridge; a foster son, Alexandre Courville; three grandchildren, Brenda Boyer, Wanda Boyer, and Keith Boyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Boyer; her parents, Villeneuve and Edna Montet Johnson; two sons, Wade and Charles Boyer; an infant brother, Alexi Johnson; five sisters, Laurence Marcantel, Amance Theriot, Armide Wyatt, Alice Courville, and Adeline Thibodeaux; and five half-siblings, Ava Rider, Celeman Boudreaux, Angelas Johnson, Bezile Johnson, and Ladios Johnson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Keith Boyer, Lionel Boyer, Jr., Herbert Thibodeaux, Dean LeBlanc, Neil Guidry, and Raymond Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Boyer and Earl Courville.
