Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Flo L. Huval, 80, who passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening by Robert Hollier.
Father Reed Bellingham will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Wendy Wesner and Ashley Daigle. Gift bearers will be Jeanea Brasseaux and Aimee Daigle.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Flo was the co-owner of Huval Seafood alongside her husband for over 30 years. She was also a devoted homemaker, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and the delightful chaos of family life. Flo took great joy in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relishing every moment spent with them as their adoring babysitter. An avid shopper, Flo had a knack for finding great deals and enjoyed lunch dates with her friends, cherishing every moment shared.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Flo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Russell J. Huval; daughter, Monica Kay H. Daigle (Randy); son, Kevin P. Huval (Jennifer); grandchildren, Ashley Marie Daigle, Jeanea H. Brasseaux and Aimee Michelle Daigle; and great-grandchildren, Erin Castille, Elliot Castille, Keegan Brasseaux and Jacques Brasseaux.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert LaCombe and Ezola Doucet LaCombe; sisters, Bea Johnson and Marie LaCombe; brothers, J.B. LaCombe, Henry LaCombe, Wilbert LaCombe, Bobby LaCombe and Gilbert LaCombe, Jr.; and parents-in-law, Leroy and Innocent Huval.
Pallbearers will be Tony LaCombe, Marvin Spanier, Kevin Huval, Dean LaCombe, Joe LaCombe, Gil LaCombe, John LaCombe and Erin Castille.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elliot Castille, Keegan Brasseaux, Jacques Brasseaux, Wilson Thibodeaux, Randy Daigle and Derrick Brasseaux.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, Ochsner St. Martin Hospital, Vital Care Home Health, Sage Rehab, Hollier's Pharmacy, St. Joseph Carpenter House, especially Brenda, as well as, Paige Landry.
