Francis "Jo" Joann Verrett

Morgan City, LA - A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Morgan City Cemetery, in Morgan City, for Francis Joann Verrett, 64, who passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Francis, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence. She spent many joyful years in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends.

A dedicated homemaker, Francis found joy in painting, repairing old furniture, and exploring her passions for motorcycles, boating, and camping. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother, Doris Lewis; sisters, Sonja (Robert) Terrell and Mollie Miller; brothers, Dennis (Debbie) Dwyer and Orville Lewis; godchild, Neaveh Meche; sister-in-law, Charlotte Ross; close friends, Beau (Ramona Hargrave) Meche and Jenna (Ashton Burns) Meche; and her fur babies, Kitty Menew and Little Bit.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Lewis; husbands, Rusty Durio and Eugene "Jay" Verrett; companion, Gabriel Clements; brothers, Herman Ross, Michael Dwyer, Stephen Lewis, and Robert "Bobby" Lewis; sister, Shellie Ross; and her niece, Mary Terrell.
