Frank Thibodeaux

Cecilia - Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Frank Doris Thibodeaux, 76, who passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Michael Delcambre, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Carla Lester and Lesley Thibodeaux. Lacey Thibodeaux, Candace Thomassee and Brittiny Broussard served as gift bearers. Mr. Thibodeaux was a 1st Engineer with the Merchant Marines, retiring after 27 years of loyal and dedicated service. An avid outdoorsman, Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing in and around St. Martin Parish. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who treasured each moment he could spend with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Nella Jane Douet Thibodeaux of Poche Bridge; his son, Mike Thibodeaux and his wife, Lesley, of Poche Bridge; his daughters, Donna Thomassee and her husband, Frank, of Orange, TX, Mona Angelle and her husband, Jules, and Susan Broussard and her husband, Terry, all of Poche Bridge; his sisters, Norma Boudreaux and Louella Guilbeaux, both of Carencro, and Peggy Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Coby, Jamie and Kyle Angelle, Brody, Candace and Trey Thomassee, Lacey, Raven and Rylan Thibodeaux, and Devin and Brittiny Broussard; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosa Robin Thibodeaux; his brothers, James 'Jim' Thibodeaux, Robert Paul 'Bobby' Thibodeaux and Fred Thibodeaux and his sister, Nora Thibodeaux Boudreaux. Pallbearers were Coby, Jamie and Kyle Angelle, Brody Thomassee, Raven and Rylan Thibodeaux, and Devin Broussard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
