Freddy Duplechin

Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Freddy Frederick Duplechin, 93, who passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at J. Michael Morrogh Memorial Nursing Home. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mr. Duplechin was retired from the retail grocery business for a number of years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed farming and playing a good game of cards. Survivors include loving wife of 76 years, Noelie Hollier Duplechin of Arnaudville; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Willis Duplechin; his daughter, Merella D. Stelly; his parents, Michaud and Nell May Courville Duplechin; two brothers and five sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a .m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Brian Duplechin, Barron Duplechin, B.J. Duplechin, Keel Duplechin, Dale Stelly, and Zack Stelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Stelly, Joel Scarbrough, Ryan and Chaz Deppe. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
