Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. ;on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Gayle Anna Pitre Dardar, 67, who passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010.Brother Bob Wood will conduct the service. ;Gayle shared her love for children as a foster parent for the state for 40 years; bringing joy and a sense of security to the many children she cared for, while also helping them continue on a good path in their lives. She was a very outspoken woman who always managed to get her point across and was meticulous about having a clean home. In her free time she enjoyed playing Bingo. Survivors include three sons, Richard Belanger and wife, Barrie, of Texas, Ronnie Belanger and wife, Sherry, of Bourg, LA, and Carlton Dehart, Jr., of Houma; three daughters, Robin Miller and husband, James 'Bug' Miller, Jr., of Florida, Michelle Brasseaux and husband, Lee, of Breaux Bridge, and Odie Dehart and fianc, Jeremy Lyons, of Chauvin; two brothers, Terry Pitre and Michael Pitre and wife, Denise, all of Houma; three sisters, Brenda Pitre, Matilda Bertinot and companion, Danny Garmer, and Linda Steel, all of Houma; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Belanger; her parents Mark J. and Lena Bergeron Pitre; a sister, Betty Porter; and four brothers, Billy, Harry, Roland, and Eugene Pitre. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11 a .m. and will continue until time of service.
