Genevieve "Jan" LaGrange

Arnaudville - A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Genevieve "Jan" LaGrange, 79, who passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service was held on April 14, 2020, at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville for her immediate family. Jan retired from Cecilia Primary after working as the Secretary for many years. As a young lady, she worked at Bell South Telephone Company. She loved camping and being outdoors. Jan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends while being a mentor to many in her community. She was an honorary member of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team for her extraordinary hospitality and always treated anyone as part of her family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving sons, Kevin LaGrange and wife Cathy of Lafayette and Wayne LaGrange; sisters, Lena Olivier (Louis), Rita Dalfrey(Chester), Regina Pitre, and Fe LaPorte (Leroy) all of Arnaudville; and grandchildren, Christopher LaGrange, Matthew LaGrange and Madison LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Burton LaGrange; parents, Felix and Adeze Cormier Taylor; infant sister, Rita Taylor; brothers, Harvey Taylor and Phillip Taylor; and brother-in-law, Wayne Pitre The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes for the compassionate care they provided during these trying times and especially thank Dr. Thomas Callais and nurses Tiffany and Bridgette.
