Saint Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville in Saint Martinville, for Genevieve C. Vincent, 87, who passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until time of service on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Memorial Service. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Genevieve loved to fish, hunt, camp, cook and dance. She enjoyed being around her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Dale Vincent, Sr. and wife Brenda; daughters, Kathleen V. Legendre and husband Mike, and Theresa V. Porter; sister, Judy C. Resweber and husband George; Grandchildren, Dale Vincent, Jr., Shawn Vincent, Jessie Vincent, Cindy Vincent, Shane Curry, Michael Legendre, Jr. , Joel Faucheux, III, and Katelyn Porter; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by father, Martin Cormier, mother, Maude Cormier, husband, Fred Vincent, brother, P.J. Cormier, sister, Theresa Cormier and son, James M. Vincent.
