George Thomas Landry, Jr.

Henderson – A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at the Henderson Recreation Hall in Henderson, for George Thomas Landry, Jr., 57, who passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

George was retired from Walmart in Lafayette, having worked there for over 30 years, in the sporting goods department.  After his retirement, he then worked at Piper’s Haven for 10 years.  George was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He loved cooking and spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Lydia Schexnider; two sisters, Elizabeth LeGrand (Jimmy) and Katrina Huval (Jody); and his nieces and nephews, Toby, Ian and Sara LeGrand, Michael Kohlenberg, Casey Brasseaux, T.J. and Jimmy Snow, and Brittney and Kaley Huval.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Thomas Landry, Sr.
