Georgia Knott Naquin

Cecilia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Georgia Knott Naquin, 84, who passed away at her home.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Monday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

A rosary will be prayed by Brenda Dwyer and Ms. Marella Theriot at 1:00 PM on Monday.

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Dawn Womack and Phyllis Marks. Gift Bearers will be Amie Johannes, Ashley Fisher, and Hollie Miller.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Georgia, "Maw", was born to the late Milton Knott and Sophie Bodin Knott. She worked at Cecilia Primary in the Cafeteria for 26 ½ years. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed Mass every Sunday. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Naquin Fisher of Cecilia; grandchildren, Amie Johannes, Kristopher Johannes, Ashley Fisher, and Tiffany Van Horn (Thomas); seven great grandchildren, Zachary, Sarah and Cadence Thrasher, Hollie Miller, Thomas, Isolde, and Alexander Van Horn; son-in-law, Charles Maxie Hebert, Sr.; step grandchildren, Charles Hebert, Jr. (Angie), Desiree Thomas (Donnye) and Dawn Womack (Kory); and seven step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Naquin; daughter, Pamela Ann Hebert; parents, Milton, and Sophie Bodin Knott; four brothers, Percy, Joseph, Curley, and Paul Knott; and her sister, Mary Joyce Dwyer.

Pallbearers will be Carl Dwyer, Thomas Van Horn, Mark Zerangue, Lance Frederick, Toby Landry, and John Landry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kristopher Johannes, Charles Maxie Hebert, and Michael Marks.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Elara Home Health and Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice nurses for all the help in Georgia's final days.
