Mrs. Musso was a woman of abundant kindness and possessed an infectious, joyful spirit that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Georgia's devout Catholic faith was an integral part of her life, providing her with a steadfast foundation and guiding her throughout life.
Born on March 30, 1932, Georgia lived a life filled with love, laughter, and selflessness. An avid reader and excellent cook, her passion for bridge brought her much joy, as she relished the camaraderie shared amongst fellow players. She was deeply involved in her community, serving as a member of both the Fortnightly and Ladies Medical Auxiliary organizations. Georgia's dedication extended to her children's education as well; she actively participated in the Mother's Clubs at Catholic High and Mount Carmel.
Georgia's impact reached far beyond the card table and social organizations she cherished. Her unwavering positivity and radiant smile were beacons of light that brightened even the darkest days. Whether it was offering kind words of encouragement or lending a helping hand to those in need, she embodied compassion in its truest form.
Survivors include her children, Susan Musso Viator (Chuck), Thomas Musso, John Musso, and Stephen Musso (Melany); grandchildren, Lisa Dempsey, Mollie LaCour (Colby), Amy Claire Zeringue (Jack), Margaret Zazulak (John), Caroline Viator, and Maria Musso; great grandchildren, Georgia Claire Zeringue and Blair Margaret Zeringue; and her son-in-law, Keith Melancon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph “Buck” Musso; mother and step father, Amy Guillot Newchurch and Henry Newchurch; daughter, Anne Musso Melancon, and a grandson, Jay Thomas Dempsey.
