Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, for Gerald James Angelle, 60, who passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 11:00 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Austin Leger will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Gerald enjoyed playing pool and cards, fishing, sports, cooking, and watching The Young and the Restless while drinking his coffee. He will be remembered as being an outspoken individual in a soft manner. Gerald will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Irving of Parks, and Criscilla St. Romain and husband Ed of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by parents, James and Odette Ann Melancon Angelle; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Angelle; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Melancon; and his aunt, Agnes Stelly.
Pallbearers will be Scotty St. Romain, Sidney Myers, Bryson Theriot, Carnell Stelly, Donald Clark, and Ryan Doucet.
