New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM , Saturday, April 16, 2011 , at Temple Baptist Church in New Iberia , for Glenn Mark Gondran, 55, who went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2011 in New Iberia . Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery . Bro. Curtis Gibson, Bro. Mike Wilkinson, Bro. Bennie Boatman and Bro. Chris Boatman will officiate. Born on March 14, 1956 in New Iberia , Bro. Mark was a graduate of Acadian Baptist College with a BA in Theology. He then went on to teach the Young Adult Sunday School Class at Temple Baptist Church for 10 years, and then after the Lord called Bro. Harlan Gott home, he was voted by the congregation to serve as Pastor. In 1983, he started his own insurance agency and then became a Financial Advisor. An avid duck hunter, he grew up hunting with his Dad, and then continued the tradition with his sons. Bro. Mark also enjoyed woodworking, welding, and fabrication. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family, friends, and his church family. He touched so many lives. Survivors include his wife Sherena Boatman Gondran of New Iberia; mother, Goldie R. Gondran of New Iberia ; sons, Casey L. Gondran and wife Annie of St. Martinville, Calen U. Gondran and Fianc, Katie Uhall of New Iberia; sister, Vicki Patillo and husband Wes of New Iberia; brother, Steven Gondran and companion Lena of New Iberia; brothers-in-law, Marty Boatman and wife Trinna of New Iberia, Chris Boatman and wife Cheri of Clovis, NM; father-in-law, Bennie Boatman of Lubbock, Texas; and a special uncle, Farris Romero of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by father, Herbert Gondran, and his mother-in-law, Bettie Holden. Pallbearers include Carroll Blanchard, Merlin Bourque, Marty Boatman, Ron Miller, Laverne Spears, and Jake Weido. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
