Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Glenn Maurice Green, 72, who passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 - Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge. Father Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Nicole Green and Patsy Guidry and gift bearers will be Tyler and Cole Green. Mr. Green was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a former member of the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Department. In March of 2008, Glenn and his wife, Sylvia, were inducted into the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Hall of Fame, honoring their efforts for promoting the crawfish festival back in the 1970's and their continued contributions as volunteers for the organization. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Sylvia Guidry Green of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Stacy Green and his wife, Nicole, and Jeff Green and his wife, Tammy, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Jennifer Green of Breaux Bridge, and Lynette Thibodeaux and her husband, Matt, of Cecilia; one brother, Roland Green of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Patsy Guidry of Breaux Bridge; and three grandchildren, Cole Green, Tyler Green, and Trent Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adley and Laurence Domingue Green; and a daughter, Jessica Lynn Green. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Stacy Green, Jeff Green, Matt Thibodeaux, Robert Guidry, Thomas Guidry, Jr., and Louis Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Green, Roland Guidry, Thomas Guidry, Sr., Tyler Green, and Cole Green. Pellerin Funeral Homeof BreauxBridge is in charge of arrangements.
