Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, on Monday, January 27, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Gloria Degeyter Guidry, 66, who passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Father Joseph Campion will officiate at the services. Reading the scriptures for service will be Wilde Roberts and Elaine Prioux. Gift bearers will be Pam Frug, Charmaine Guidry and Judy Pier. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Guidry enjoyed cooking and caring for her family; especially spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoy sweet treats, her favorite being Oreos. She loved being outdoors, working alongside her husband and feeding bread to her childrens dogs. She took care of many family members when they were in need. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Clovis (C.J.) Joseph Guidry, her son, Craig Guidry and his wife, Charmaine, her daughter, Pam Frug and her husband, Joseph (Tony), her brother, Wilton Degeyter and his wife Delores, her sisters, Thelma Rivet and Hilda Credeur and her husband, Antoine ("JN"), her grandchildren, Zev Frug and Zane Frug. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilson Degeyter, mother, Genevieve "Ben" Taylor Degeyter, and her granddaughter, Cami Lynn Guidry. Pallbearers will be Craig Guidry, Wilton Degeyter, Tony Frug, Zane Frug, Zev Frug, and Lloyd Degeyter. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., is in charge of arrangements.
