Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 30, 2026, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Gloria Sonnier, 82, who passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 Am to 11:00 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Thursday.

Deacon Perry Guidry will officiate at the funeral service.

Gloria was a nurturing spirit who touched the lives of many over her remarkable journey. She devoted over 20 years of her life as an Activity Coordinator in nursing homes, where her compassion and dedication brought joy to countless residents. She possessed a unique ability to connect with others, creating a warm and welcoming environment that made everyone feel at home.

In her personal life, Gloria embraced a wide array of interests that reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed fishing and spent many happy hours partaking in her love for arts and crafts. Traveling offered her the adventure and exploration she cherished, while baking remained a sweet delight she generously shared with her family and friends. A lover of crossword puzzles, Gloria's curiosity and intellect were evident in everything she did. However, it was the warmth of family gatherings during Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter celebrations that truly lit up her heart. Gloria's legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in their hearts

In this time of grief, let us remember Gloria not only for her absence, but also for the many cherished moments she gifted us. As we celebrate her life, may we find comfort in the memories and love she leaves behind.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Sonnier, Sr.; sons, Michael Sonnier, Robert (Daria Latiolais) Sonnier, Jr., and Christopher Sonnier; brother, Patrick (Linda) Comeaux; and her sister, Ezilda (Bryan Petitjean) Mouton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Eunice Guillot Comeaux; and her brother, Clyde Comeaux.
