New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM , Sunday, March 27, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Grace Stirling Mouton, 66, who passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in Lafayette . Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery . Rev. Scott Bullock will officiate. Born on May 23, 1944 , Mrs. Mouton was a retired LPN, having worked at Dauterive Hospital , and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Iberia. She enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles, gardening, going to the casino, visiting with friends, and being at the beach. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Larrey G. Mouton, Sr. of New Iberia; daughter, Robin Louise Root and husband William of Lafayette; son, Larrey G. 'Sonny' Mouton, Jr. and wife Kerri Kaye of New Iberia; brother, Ray Michael Stirling and wife Meredyth of Woodbridge, Virginia; sister, Deborah Louise Stirling Pendergist of Slaughter, LA; grandchildren, Trent Mouton, Megan Mouton, Stirling Brown, Alexander Root; nephew, Tommy Pendergist; niece, Samantha Stirling McCormack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruffin and Violet Louise Carter Stirling; and an infant brother. Pallbearers will be Tommy Pendergist, Snub Derouen, Kent Charpentier, Kendall Charpentier, Kris Charpentier, and Jim Gustafson. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Green, Mike Stevens, and Richard 'Dick' Schneider. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia .
