As time passes, the memories still seem new. On this Memorial Day 2021, I remember you, Greg. You served your country well and you were a major blessing to your family and friends. We shared special times. I have known you most of my life. We were more than friends; we were brothers in Christ. I know that you are in Gods hands, dancing in Heaven. We will meet again one day. That gives me peace. You will never taste death again for you are forever alive in Christ Jesus. That gives me joy. Thank you, Lord God, for allowing me to know through your Word that there are no tears in Heaven and that Greg is experiencing your unspeakable joy that can never be quenched. Greg, you will always be my friend and my brother. You are dearly missed. In Jesus Name, I pray a special blessing on your family and friends and even on all who read this message that The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26 [NIV]). Through Jesus Christ, death has no victory. Greg knows that first hand. We need to know that too. Friends, no matter what you face in life, choose joy. Happiness comes from the word happenstance, which is based on circumstances. Joy is much better. It is based on our trust and belief in God and His word a solid foundation that cannot be shaken. It produces happiness but is so much more than that. It enables us to stand when we probably should fall. It strengthens us (Nehemiah 8:10). It gives us hope for a brighter tomorrow. It enables us to know that even through the struggles and through the pain, that God is there and the pain and the struggles wont last forever. The Joy of the Lord enables us to experience life beyond this earthly plain, to what God has for us once this life is done. Remember that sin brought death (Romans 5:12), not God. Jesus came so that we may have a blessed life (John 10:10). Therefore, live a life that Jesus died and was raised to give us a life of joy where death has no sting.

Rest in Heaven Greg. You will always remain in my thoughts, and prayers are extended to your family as they mourn your loss, and the loss of your Mom. Heaven has gained, what this world has lost...two angels.
