Gussie "Gus" Arnaud, Jr.

Arnaudville - A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Gussie "Gus" Arnaud, Jr., 54, who passed away suddenly on Monday, May 1, 2023 at his residence. 

Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 2:30 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. 

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday evening. 

Father Randy Courville will officiate the memorial service. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis Regis Cemetery. 

Gus was known for his outgoing personality and innate ability to make those around him laugh. He never met a stranger and had a heart filled with love for others. If anyone needed help, Gus would be the first to offer a hand. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.

Gus had many hobbies that he excelled in. He was an amazing cook, loved hunting and fishing outdoors, enjoyed playing cards with loved ones and spending quality time with family and friends. Whenever he wasn't working on construction projects, you could find him indulging in one of these passions.

He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by his son, Tristan Arnaud; mother, Rose Bergeron; father, Gussie Arnaud, Sr.; sisters, Theresa Arnaud (Chuck), Karen Arnaud (William), Mia Arnaud, Jennifer Primeaux (Nick) and Sandra Champagne (Brian); brother-in-law, Kevin Hamlett; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Kirk (Adrian), Heather (DJ), Fabian (Dana), Aubry, Dawson, Buddy, Sebastian, Gabrielle, Waylon (Lauren) and Jazmine (Blake); and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Hamlett; and maternal grandparents, Aldus and Marie Bergeron.
