Harold Bonin

New Iberia - Private services will be held at a later date for Harold D. Bonin, 74, who passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016, in New Iberia. A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bonin was born on May 28, 1942 in Lafayette Parish to Ernest "Pichou" and Bertha Badeaux Bonin. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a self-employed automobile mechanic. He enjoyed dancing, walking, playing cards, and gardening. Survivors include his brother, Gilbert Bonin and wife Sylvia of New Iberia; sisters, Gloria Courville and husband Leroy of New Iberia, Mary Irene Getsinger and husband Robert "Bear" of Portland, Oregon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Georgia Mae Badeaux, and Mary Mae Bonin.
