Harold Edward Boudreaux, Sr. was born in Coleman, Texas on June 17, 1947, to the late Edwin E. and Velma F. Boudreaux. A proud graduate of New Iberia Senior High in 1967, Harold embarked on a remarkable career that began with Texaco, where he dedicated 25 years of his life as an offshore pumper. His hard work and commitment continued for another two decades as he served as the Deputy Tax Assessor for the Iberia Parish Assessor's Office, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and community members alike.
Harold’s heart was deeply anchored in his faith as a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He exemplified the spirit of service through his active engagement with the New Iberia Jaycees, where he not only contributed to numerous community projects but also led as a past president. His strong belief in the goodness of people and the strength of community helped him navigate life's many challenges, always leaning on his faith to guide him through tough times.
Harold was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the serenity of his yard, often seen cutting grass and tending to his well-groomed lawn. This peaceful routine was not just a hobby for him, but a reflection of his character—meticulous, caring, and dedicated.
Above all, Harold loved his family deeply. His legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will endure in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him. We will hold onto the memories of his laughter, the warmth of his spirit, and the profound impact he had on our lives. May he rest in peace.
