Harold Lee Jones

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Harold Lee Jones, 66, who passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until 12:15 pm on Friday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Friday. Rev. Peter Emusa will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Tonia Peltier and Sharee LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Omaree Peltier and Langston Moore. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Harold was a self-employed mechanic and was the owner and operator of Harolds Repair Shop. He loved being outdoors, doing mechanic work, barbecuing, cooking, fishing, gardening, and playing Bingo. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Frances Marie Calais of Parks; his son, Jeffery Taylor of Arnaudville; four daughters, Jacquelyn (Steve) Shearin of Shreveport, Tiffany Charles of Breaux Bridge, Brittany Jones of Parks, and Khadijah Jones of Parks; his brother, John Bergeron of Henderson; five sisters, Mary Ann (Andrew) LaGrange of Cecilia, Juanita Pete, Paulita Pete, and Jeanette Jones, all of Henderson, and Drucella Bergeron of Cecilia; six grandchildren, Damarcus Babineaux, Johnavon Carter, Jr., Jerrian Carter, Britney Presley, Brianna Shearin, and Caleb Shearin; and 1 great grandchild, Ayden Presley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Jones and Hilda Bergeron; his sister, Georgia Arceneaux; maternal grandparents, Gladys Noel and Alfred Bergeron; and paternal grandparents, Mary Mae and Samuel Jones. Pallbearers will be Emanuel LaGrange, Joseph Larry Pete, Javon Pete, Javonte Pete, Isiah Jones, and Creighton Calais. Honorary pallbearers will be Roosevelt Noel, Raymond Bergeron, Larry Alexander, Harry Richard, and Deltha Peltier.
