Rynella A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella for Harold P. LeBlanc, 89, who died Friday, September 20, 2013, in Lafayette.
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Rev. Eugene Tremie will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 9:00 AM until 12:45 AM.
Born on October 8, 1923 on Avery Island, Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served our country during World War II. He was a Past Commander of the American Legion, a member of the New Iberia VFW, where he served on the Honor Guard.
Mr. LeBlanc was a former usher at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and retired from McIlhenny Company after 42 years of service. His hobbies included camping, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Agnes Elsie Landry LeBlanc of Rynella; son, Nick A. LeBlanc and wife Karen of Broussard; daughter, Tara Ann LeBlanc of Rynella; Granddaughters, Nikki LeBlanc of Youngsville, Alexandra LeBlanc of Broussard, and Madeline LeBlanc of Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odan and Adele Laviolette LeBlanc; a sister, Nolia Dyson; and brothers, Roy LeBlanc, and Carol LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Roy LeBlanc, Jr., Woody Leleux, Craig Landry, Lawless Fitch, Jr., Michael LeBlanc, and Zachary Schaubert.
