Harris Joseph Tauzin

VIEW ; VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Harris Joseph Tauzin, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Maison du Monde Living Center in Abbeville. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father Paul LaFleur, pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Mr. Tauzin loved spending his time with his family. He enjoyed karate and loved to hunt. The camp was a special place with a lot of fond memories. Race horses held a special place in his life. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Tessie S. Tauzin of Abbeville; his son, Gene Knight and his wife, Miranda of Abbeville; his brothers, Charles and Dave Tauzin of Poche Bridge, Allen Tauzin of Denton, TX; his sisters, Irene Poirier of Breaux Bridge, Elaine Pesson of New Iberia, Louella Thibodeaux of Poche Bridge and Mabel Guidry of Crowley; his grandchildren, Brianna, Austin and Max Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexis and Inez Granger Tauzin; his sister, Mary Pesson; his godchild and nephew, Drew Tauzin; and his niece, Cindy Poirier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m until 11:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Mark, Randy and Wayne Pesson, Mike Thibodeaux, Ricky Poirier and Dave Tauzin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
