Harry James "Boss" Baltazar

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 9, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church honoring the life of Harry James Baltazar, aka "Boss", 78, who passed away on March 4, 2026 at his residence.

A visitation will take place at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM on Monday.

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the funeral mass.

Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.

Harry James Baltazar, lovingly known to many as "Boss," passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories with family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Harry was a hardworking man, a loyal friend, and someone whose presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him.

Harry dedicated 40 years of his life working as a butcher at Prejean's Slaughter House in Carencro, where he became known not only for his skill and strong work ethic, but also for the friendships he built along the way.

Outside of work, Harry enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He loved fishing and hunting, spending time outdoors whenever he could. When he was home, you could often find him relaxing and watching his favorite old westerns and shows on MeTV. Harry also found joy in caring for his yard, often spending time cutting grass on his lawnmower, something he took pride in keeping just right.

One of Harry's greatest companions was his beloved dogs, JoJo and Glo, who brought him endless happiness. Whether it was playing, relaxing, or simply having them by his side, that bond meant the world to him. Though Glo recently passed, the love and memories they shared remained very special to Harry.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lee Bruno Baltazar; sons, Brandon Williams (Kourtney) and Harry Williams (LaShane); sisters, Mary R. Baltazar and Yvonne Berard; grandchildren, Karter Williams, Jai Williams, Jentli Williams, Jordi Ledet, Caydn Williams and Caysn Williams.

He is preceded in death by his father, Percy Baltazar; mother, Anaise Baltazar; sisters and brother- in-laws, Cecile B. Alfred (Walter) and Priscilla A. Baltazar (Leroy); son, Michael Baltazar; daughter, Prenella Baltazar.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Williams, Harry Williams, Kindre Baltazar, Chad Fuselier, Christian Fuselier and Roland Joseph.
