Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Harry James Landry, 67, who passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 am until 9 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8 am until 10:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm on Wednesday. Scriptures will be read by Sydni Angelle and Alexis Gardemal. Gift Bearers will be Ava and Joshua Gardemal. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Harry was retired with J. Ray McDermott, where he worked for 30 years as a big crane operator making the largest lift in the world, of which he was filmed on the Discovery Channel for it. He was currently employed with Offshore Specialties, Inc. As a pastime he enjoyed fishing, camping, trail-riding, and riding his tractor to do bush hogging. Harry most especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Madeline Deanie Thibodeaux Landry; four daughters, Carrie Norris, Shelly Landry and boyfriend, Roger LaGrange, Keisha Scoggin and husband, Anthony "Chip", and Angel Taylor and husband, Andy; two stepsons, Yancy Guidry and girlfriend Tina Talbot, and Jade Guidry; his brother, Nelson P. Landry and wife, Sybil; two sisters, Renella Landry Boyer and Geraldine Landry Babineaux, eight grandchildren, Brittany Norris, Sierra Norris, Sydni Angelle, Hannah Allemond, Alexis Gardemal, Ava Gardemal, Joshua Gardemal, II, and Marshall Taylor; and one great grandchild, on-the-way. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Lillian Chautin Landry. Pallbearers will be Anthony "Chip" Scoggin, Mark Penn, Brad Comeaux, Carroll Comeaux, Andy Taylor, Anthony Boyer, Yancy Guidry, and Jade Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Nelson P.
