New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Henry Louis Henry, 91, who passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A native of Glenco and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Henry was born on February 12, 1925 to Morgan Henry and Theresa Pichoff. He married Laurel Lee LeBouef on May 13, 1944, and had worked in the oilfield for many years. During the 1960's, his work took him from Perth, Australia to Cairo, Egypt, where his wife and children were able to accompany him. After his early retirement, Mr. Henry traveled to many states including his favorite, Las Vegas, Nevada, where he enjoyed gambling. When he was home, you could find him at a table with good food, family, and a playing bouree'. Beside playing bingo, Mr. Henry also did some woodworking, building many things over the years. After he stopped driving eight years ago, family members would drive him where ever he wanted to go and that was usually to spend time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren at barbeques and family gatherings. Henry loved everyone, including his long list of friends that he missed dearly due to him not being able to get around. He will be missed by many. We love you Paw. Survivors include his children, Cheryl Henry Hanks and husband Kenny, Linda Henry Dugas and husband Vernon, Patricia Henry Champagne, Randell Henry, Sr., Terry W. Henry and wife Carolyn, and Anthony Latiolais and wife Kim all of New Iberia; son-in-law, Terrell Louviere; brother, Thomas Henry, Sr. of Marion, NC; 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laurel Lee LeBouef Henry; daughter, Laura Henry Horne; granddaughter, Ginger Champagne Vaughn; son-in-law, James Delcambre; daughters-in-law, Donna Romero Henry, and Monita Tyler; brothers, Infant Walter Henry, Gustave Henry, Ned Henry, Walter J. Henry, Patrick Henry, and George Henry; sisters, Mary Henry, Daisy Henry Rivette, Lily Mae Henry Duet, and Pearl Henry LeBlanc. Pallbearers include Kevin Badeaux, Jason Badeaux, Jarred Henry, Shane Henry, Bradney Delcambre, Shannon Delcambre, Randy Henry, and Brian Horne Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Latiolais.
