Herman Knott

Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 11 a .m. , on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Herman James Knott, 73, who passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Herman enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, working his land and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Chester J. Knott (Candace) of Carencro and Gary J. Knott (Rose Marie) of Cecilia; his daughters, Velba 'Cricket' Knott of Arnaudville, Melba 'Nicole' Nelson (Gordon) of Henderson and Sally Robin (Jamie) of Cecilia; his brothers, Harris Knott of Arnaudville and Ray Knott of Cecilia; his sisters, Joyce Deshotel of Krotz Springs, Velma King and Jan McConnell both of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Hannah, Garrett, Harli, Jordain, Jasmine, Courtney and Blake; and his great grandchildren, Braegan, Brailey, Mason and Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Knott; his parents, Ashton and Yvonne Taylor Knott; and his brothers, Alvin, Roger, Lewis, Carroll, Leroy 'Black', Harold and Ashton Knott, Jr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011 in Breaux Bridge and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
