Hilton J. Mallery, Sr.

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Hilton Joseph Mallery, Sr., 69, who passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. 

A visitation will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Saturday from 7:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am. 

A Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. 

Fr. Abelardo Gabriel S.V.D. will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery. 

Hilton Mallery Sr. was born August 18,1954, in Lafayette, LA. Hilton enjoyed a career as a pipe inspector for many years with various companies. He also enjoyed helping the people in his community any way he could. Hilton was skilled in carpentry, painting, roofing, plumbing, and was an all-around jack-of-all- trades. He was always willing to put his skills to use to help those who needed his assistance. 

Hilton was very proud of the work he accomplished at Notre Dame Church. 

Hilton is survived by his three children, Hilton Mallery Jr., Corey Mallery, and Natalie Christophe; his two sisters, Mary Alma Auguillard and Lucille Gerard Gordon; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Donovan Mallery; two sisters, Carolyn Bourda and Madeline Augilliard; his brother, Anthony Gerard Jr.; and his mother, Goldie Mallery.
