Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 18, 2026, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Horace Ledet, 74, who passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Pastor James Tabor will officiate at the funeral service.

Burial will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

Horace, a cherished brother, friend, and beloved member of the Breaux Bridge community. Horace was born on February 18, 1952, in Lafayette, Louisiana, and he departed this world on September 9, 2026, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, at the age of 74.

Horace will be lovingly remembered for his gentle spirit and boundless kindness. He had an infectious joy for life, often found dancing to lively zydeco music with a good glass of wine in hand, all while enjoying the camaraderie of family and friends. His love for western movies provided many nights of entertainment, and he remained a devoted attendee of his weekly Sunday services, where his strong faith resonated deeply.

In this time of loss, we honor Horace Ledet, a man who brought joy and light to all who had the privilege to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so freely gave in life.

He is survived by his brothers, Darrel Ledet, Malcolm Ledet, Herman Ledet, Roland (Priscilla) Ledet, Junius Ledet, and Gilbert (Polly) Ledet; sisters, Sylvia Francis, Rose Ledet, and Romona Ledet; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Elizabeth Robert Ledet; brothers, Floyd, Percy and Joseph Ledet; and his sisters, Mary Alice and Indiana Ledet.

Pallbearers will be Derick Celestine, Clyde, Donald, Clayton, Michael, and Gilbert Ledet.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Malcolm Junuis and Javon Ledet
