Horace Wisdom

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm, on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Martinville, for Horace Wisdom, 81, who passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 9:30 am until 4:45 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Jessie Charpentier, will officiate at the Memorial Service. Mr. Wisdom was a proud resident of Bayou Chene and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends, while making them laugh by telling stories and sharing jokes with them he was life of any party. Horace also loved music and he could pick up just about any instrument and play a tune to entertain you. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette C. Wisdom of St. Martinville; three daughters, Joann (A.J.) Degeyter of Parks, Becky (Gerald) Blanchard of Parks, and Wendy (Michael) Perry of Youngsville; three sons, Gerald (Robin) Wisdom of Loreauville, Lee (Mary) Wisdom of Parks, and Patrick (Yvonne) Wisdom of Longview, TX; his sister, Emma Millet of Plaquemine; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Wisdom, Sr. and Jenny Mendoza Wisdom; two brothers, Leonard Wisdom and Percy Wisdom, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Yvonne Dugas Wisdom; and his son-in-law, Ronald Broussard.
