New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Ira Prince, 84, who passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Born on December 21, 1924, Mr. Prince worked for the Morton Salt Mines for 18 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his dogs. ; Survivors include his wife Audrey Prince of New Iberia; son, Dean Prince of Lydia; daughter, Jeannie Hercher of Mansfield, Missouri; two grandchildren. ; He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Blanche Prince; brothers, Lyman, Gaylon, Ernest Jr, Lawrence, Harold, and Leroy; sisters, Anna Belle Grantham, Hilda Jolet, and Genevieve Pichoff. ; The family would like to give special thanks to Martha and Danny Prince for the special care that they gave to Mr. Prince. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. ; Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
