Irene Egland

Breaux Bridge, Louisiana- Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM , Saturday,  December 3, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church for Irene Egland, 97, who passed away at her residence.

A visitation will take place at the Bethlehem Baptist Church on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Pastor Kelso will officiate at the funeral mass.

Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Irene was loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, traveling and singing while her son played the piano.  Irene loved visiting with her friends and attending functions.  She will be remembered for her kindred spirit, generous heart and infectious smile that would light up a room with joy.

She is survived by sons,  Alfred (Mary Linda) Egland, Edward (Rita) Egland, David (JoAnn) Egland, Floyd (Sylvia Marie) Egland, Nathaniel (Charsie) Egland; and her daughters, Elnora Egland, Ella Andrus, and Beryl (Ralph) Egland-Sawyer; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by  parents, Authur and Lucy Stelly, husband, Dudley Egland of 45 years and her great-grandson, Andrew Jordan Mouton.
 
Pallbearers will be Brian, Jason, Nicholas, Kanavis, and Nathaniel "Drew" Egland, Jr. and Chai Sutton.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of her sons.

Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
