Irving Joseph Broussard, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Irving Broussard, Jr., 67, who passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. until time of service, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fr. Gary Schexnayder will conduct the service. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Irving enjoyed Trail riding, spending time on his tractor and in the fields. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Shane Joseph (Victoria) Broussard of Parks; his daughter, Amanda Marie Broussard of Duson; his sister, Judy Broussard (Larry) Hollier of Breaux Bridge; his grandson, Hunter John Broussard and his granddaughter, Olivia Marie Broussard; . He was preceded in death by his father, Irving Joseph Broussard Sr.; his mother, Frances LeBlanc Broussard, his maternal grandparents, Jaques and Mamit LeBlanc and his paternal grandparents, Will and Martha Broussard. Pallbearers will be Hunter Broussard, Jamie Broussard, Lance Frederick, Mike Boudoin and Rick Frederick. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
