J. Warren Bonin

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home for J. Warren Bonin, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.

Visitation will be held Monday, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Pellerin Funeral Home.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bonin was born on September 2, 1936, to the late Dominic and Evelyn Fisher Bonin. He worked in the oilfield for 56 years and enjoyed yardwork and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, David Bonin (Emma) and Alison Bonin Mendoza (Scott); brothers, Donald Bonin and William Bonin; grandchildren, Jared Bonin (Krista) and Zach Mendoza (Megan); great grandchildren, Brooks Mendoza, William Bonin, Adeline Bonin, Everett Bonin, and AJ Mendoza; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Doris Dartez Bonin; a sister, Barbara Jackson and a daughter-in-law, Becky Gary Bonin.
