A lifelong area resident, Jacob Simon Papillion was born on October 17, 1958, to the late Sanders and Mary Lou Victorian Papillion. His father died when Jacob was an infant, and he was raised by his mother and sister. A country boy at heart, Jacob was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. His career was spent in the oilfield, having dedicated many years to Global X-Ray & Testing Corporation and American Piping Inspections. An excellent cook, Jacob cherished having family and friends gathered around the dinner table, enjoying the fruits of his labor. His infectious laugh could light up a room, and he was a true gentleman. His family was the most important thing to him, shown not only by his words, but by his actions. He treated his wife like a queen, putting her first always. Jacob was a beacon of light that will be truly missed.
