James Anthony Gonsoulin

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 29, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for James Anthony Gonsoulin, 28, who died on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Lafayette. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. James was born on October 21, 1985 in Lafayette, and worked in the oilfield as a structural fitter. A Jack of all trades, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family, and his children. Survivors include his fianc, Celeste Trosclair of New Iberia; father, Norbert Gonsoulin, III of New Iberia, mother, Betty Jackson Gonsoulin of New Iberia; son, Nickolas Gonsoulin of New Iberia; daughter, Rylee Gonsoulin of New Iberia, and a daughter due to arrive in March; brothers, John Gonsoulin and wife Mona of New Iberia, Norbert Gonsoulin, IV and wife Shannon of New Iberia; sisters, Crystal Alario and fianc Paul Bourque of New Iberia, Rita Reaux and husband Justin of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel Jackson, Albert Jackson, Nena Leleaux Gonsoulin, and Norbert Gonsoulin. Pallbearers will be Chad Stansbury, Derek Trosclair, Paul Bourque, David Boudreaux, Norbert Gonsoulin, IV, and Jerome LeBlanc, Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Norbert Gonsoulin, III, John Gonsoulin, Justin Reaux, and Nickolas Gonsoulin.
