James Judice, Sr.

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 25, 2026, for James Judice, Sr., 76, who passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate.

Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.

A resident of St. Martinville, James Judice, Sr. was born on November 3, 1949, and dedicated his career to the oilfield, retiring as a driller. James was a hard worker and was most at peace outdoors. He proudly grew a thriving vegetable garden that he shared with family and friends. A true animal lover, he enjoyed raising rabbits, pigs, geese, and chickens throughout the years. He was a great cook, an avid sports fan, and loved to go fishing, but what he cherished most was time spent with his family and friends.

Mr. Judice is survived by his children, Dana Boudreaux (Harold), James Judice, Jr., Mona Khammany (Virat), Catina Judice, Stacey Judice, Corey Judice, Janie Judice, and Brett Broussard; stepson, Eric Alton Tyson; sisters, Edna Freeman and Lola Romero; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Augustine Judice; mother and stepfather, Rita and Henry Hiceman; brother, Gerald Latiolais; and sister, Darlene Boutte.

Pallbearers will be Jose Gudino, Kyle Crochet, Colby Khammany, Cody Khammany, Tyler Khammany, and Corey Judice.
