Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for James Joseph Landry, 69, who passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue at 8:00 am until 12:45 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Neal Courville. Gift Bearers will be Danielle Courville and Amy Landry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Mr. Landry honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was a people person he loved meeting people and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Kyle Landry and Scott Landry and his wife, Amy; his brother, Rodney Landry; and his sister, Luna Guidry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Electa Angelle Landry; his beloved wife, Peggy Courville Landry; one sister, Beatrice Guidry; and six brothers, Wilson, George, Edwin, Hubert, Earl, and Alton Landry. Pallbearers will be Kyle Landry, Scott Landry, Jamie Landry, Jarrod Courville, Jamie Courville, and Paul Jude Guidry.
