James "Jim" Manser

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for James "Jim" Manser, 58, who passed away on January 24, 2024.

James was born on August 6, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa.  He was an avid chess player and enjoyed working with wood, and loved spending time with his family.  

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly Hollier Manser; daughters, Cathy (A.J. McCloney) Manser and Becky (Donnie St. Amant) Manser; stepdaughter, Amy (Mars Gafford) Hollier; grandchildren, Tyler Hollier, Michael Gillaspie, Alexis Gillaspie, Aiden Manser, and Tyson McCloney; brothers, Harold (Brandi) Manser and Jeff Manser; and his sister, Maggie Craycraft. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Simmons Manser; daughter, Elizabeth Manser; mother-in-law, Barbara Hollier; sister-in-law, Gloria Hollier Major; and his nephew, Jeremy Craycraft.
