James Trosclair

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Monday, November 19, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for James Trosclair, 85, who passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at St. Martinville Rehab Nursing Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Priscilla Theriot and Ricky Huval, Sr.. Gift Bearers will be Shawn Taylor and Monica Barker. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in Saint Martinville. James honorable served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0293. He loved dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Decou of Saint Martinville; and his sister, Anna Louise Jones of Baton Rouge. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Sidonia Buford Trosclair; his wife, Veva Guidry Trosclair; and his brother, Harold Trosclair. Pallbearers will be Harold Trosclair, Jr., Kirk Trosclair, Morris Theriot, Ricky Huval, Sr., Jimmy Jones, and Eric Trosclair.
