Jane was born on April 17, 1947, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and grew up in Lafayette, surrounded by a loving and large extended family. In her early adult years, she became a beautician. On September 10, 1966, she married the love of her life, Paul Dale Bearb. Together they lived in California and Alaska for two years before returning to Louisiana to be closer to family. They made their home in New Iberia, where they raised their children and built a beautiful life together.

Jane had a remarkable creative spirit and a passion for all things handmade. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, painting, and many other hobbies. What began as a love of cooking grew into a lifelong career when she founded Cajun Tidbits Catering in 1988. For the next 28 years, she catered countless weddings, parties, and community events throughout Acadiana. Known for her flavorful Cajun dishes and her love for entertaining—skills she learned from her mother—Jane eventually shared her recipes with the world through her own published cookbook.

After retirement, Jane returned to quilting, joining her friends weekly to create cherished pieces filled with warmth and care. She and her husband were also avid travelers who loved camping across the United States, proudly having visited all but two states together.

She is survived by her son, Juddson Dale Bearb, and his wife Tracy Daley Bearb of Overland Park, Kansas; her daughter, Joetta “Jo” Bearb Stephens, and her husband Ryan Stephens of New Braunfels, Texas; and her beloved grandsons Jayden Cole Bearb, Cade Joseph Stephens, and Beau Jordan Stephens. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Paul Touchet, Pat Touchet Hawthorne, Teddy Landry, Gregory Landry, Timmy Landry and Amie Landry McCombs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul Dale Bearb; her parents, Arthur and Rose LeBlanc Landry; her siblings, Verly Landry Touchet and Mayo Landry; her maternal grandparents Jules and Ermenia Huval Leblanc; paternal grandparents Eloi and Eva Marie Barras Landry; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Beau Stephens, Buddy DiMarco, Cade Stephens, Jayden Bearb, Paul Touchet, and Ron Hebert.

Honorary pallbearers include Chance Delhomme, Matt Davis, and Michael Tuite.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. James Falterman, Jr. and his staff, Anna Sullivan, Hospice of Acadiana, and the staff of Calcutta House for their dedicated care. A special note of love and appreciation is also extended to her dear friend Kathy Sandridge for her unwavering friendship and kindness.
