St. Martinville- A graveside service will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery on Friday, August 12, 2016, at 10:00 am for Jane P. Thomas, 69, who passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Jane was a graduate of USL receiving a Bachelors Degree in Education with a minor in English. She worked as a career counselor at Unitech, teacher's assistant at LA Tech, and a substitute teacher. Jane loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Scott Thomas, Sr., and Karnell Joseph Thomas, Sr.; daughters, Tracey Angelique Thomas, Karlet Marie Thomas, and Michaela Louella Thomas; grandchildren, Peter Jones, Jr., Kwanita T. Narcisse, Natasha Curley, Landon Wiltz, Leah Jones, Laterrance Zeno, Victoria Thomas, Abreanna Alexander, Deandrea Zeno, Terrillisa Thomas, Joseph Scott Thomas, Jr., Karnell Joseph Thomas, Jr., Angelo Thomas, Kristian Paige Thomas, Keon Bryant, Kyana Bryant, Kylie Mackles; great-grandchildren, Xavien "J.B" Thomas and Carter Zeno; brothers, Adam Pierre, Jr., and George Pierre; and her sister, Annette Pierre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "J.C." Thomas; son, Terrill Thomas; grandchild, Jeremy Thomas; parents, Adam and Jeanne Wiltz Pierre; and sisters, Louella Bienvenu, Barbara Pierre, and Florence Youman.
