Janella Cae Blanchard

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Janella Cae Blanchard, 60, who died on Monday, November 18, 2013 in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Janella was born on April 19, 1953, and was the daughter of Horace and Aletha Gibon Blanchard. A member of the Aktion Club, she was very active with The Arc of Acadiana, and had participated in bowling leagues, and the Special Olympics. Survivors include her sisters, Pamela Blanchard and Cindy Blanchard both of New Iberia; her boyfriend, Sammy Breaux; and her best friend, Patricia Hypolite. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved family pet, Petey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iberia Pregnancy Resource Center and Clinic, P.O.
