Jaxon Lee Porterfield

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, for Jaxon Lee Porterfield, 11 months old, who passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at his residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. Pastor Brandon Trott will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Jaxon was a member of the Sons of American Legion. He cherished moments spent with everyone who loved him, especially his godmothers. His family enjoyed times when they were able to spoil him and see his beautiful smile. He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Porterfield of St. Martinville; grandparents Lena Guidry Bourg and Leo Bourg of St. Martinville; sister, Alycian Bourg of St. Martinville; aunts, Tiffany Bourg of New Iberia, Kristi Berthelot and husband Chris of St. Martinville, Camille Tedder of Colorado, Rebecca Farley of Alaska, and Miriam Farley of Alaska; uncles, Jonathan Bourg of New Iberia, Micah Porterfield and wife April of Arnaudville; godmothers, Chassidy Reed and Caitlin Reed, both of St. Martinville; godfather, William Porterfield and spouse Anmarie of Scott; cousins, Michael Reed, Bree-Ann West, Bradley West, Jr., Joan Porterfield, and Paityn Porterfield; and great grandparents, W. K. and Kathy Porterfield of Traskwood, AR. He was preceded in death by great grandmother, Euline Dugas Guidry; great grandfather, Leo Pold Guidry; great grandfather, Ludwill Bourg, Sr., great grandmother, Emerite S. Bourg; great aunt, Carol Vasseur; great-great grandmother, Zoe B. Dugas; and great-great grandfather, Fernest Dugas. Pallbearers will be William Billy Porterfield, Michael Reed, Micah Porterfield, and Rudy Bourg Sr. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Bourg.
