Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Jeamelle A. Jones, 49, who passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Opelousas General Hospital.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday.A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am on Saturday.Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Reader will be Lora Motte-Calais.Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Jeamelle was born July 20, 1972 in Lafayette. He enjoyed going to trail rides, listening to Zydeco music, cooking and visiting with family and friends. Jeamelle will be dearly missed.He is survived by his father, Ernest Calais; daughters, Rozanna Jones and Markayla Jones; sisters, Madison Calais and Sharelle Calais; and grandchildren, Ma'Jah Robins and Mar'lei Robins; step children, Danielle Henry and Donovan Henry; and his former wife, Monica Jones.He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Patricia Jones; brother, Coraleen Patrick Jones; maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Jones; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Amydel Calais.Pallbearers will be Devon Williams, Malcom Robins, Dovoan Henry, Robbie Calais, Ryan Calais and Amis Taylor.Honorary pallbearers Clifton Calais, Nelton Calais, Tucumsee Dugas, Percy Hamilton, Aaron Owe and Winsley Jones.
